Inside Audio: Bitter Fruits by Alice Clark-Platts
Last week we took a first look at Bitter Fruits, the brilliant new debut by former human rights lawyer Alice Clark-Platts. Publishing on 2nd July, it’s the first novel in a new series featuring DI Erica Martin and is already receiving rave reviews.
Part psychological thriller, part police procedural, the story follows the investigation into the murder of a young student at Durham University.
It’s suspenseful, twisty and clever – but don’t just take our word for it. Check out some of these fantastic reviews:
‘There is a gripping, economic precision in this highly charged thriller.’
Ralph Fiennes
‘Grabbed me from the first page and wouldn’t let go. A compelling read, beautifully written … A tense, captivating tale, brilliantly told’
Rachel Abbott
‘Superbly gripping … A very assured page-turning storm I read in one sitting.’
Stav Sherez
